Fried Nestum Chicken Recipe

Today I am going to introduce one of my boyfie's signature dish: Nestum Chicken! It is similar to frying chicken fillets with a coating of breadcrumbs. The only difference is, the chicken fillet are coated with Nestum oats and they taste and smell ten times better! Oh my, I can literally smell the aroma of the Nestum while blogging about it. Such a dish, it is a crowd pleaser. This I can definitely assure you. It is good for picky kiddos, hungry teenagers, and even the elders! Usually I serve Nestum chicken as a side dish with rice but we can always just make it as a fun snack.

Ingredients: Serves about 4-5 people

3 pieces of chicken keel (de-boned and the meat is cut into bite size fillet strips like above)
200g of Nestum oat
300g of all-purpose flour
2 large eggs (beaten)
Oil

Marinade:
2 tbsp of soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp of oyster sauce
Pepper

STEP 1: PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS

Put the chicken fillet strips in a large bowl and mix them with the marinade.
Set aside for 15 minutes.
While waiting, put Nestum oats, flour and egg into separate bowls as shown above.
Your station is now ready!

STEP 2: COAT THE CHICKEN!

First, grab a chicken fillet and roll it in flour.

Then, coat it with egg. Make sure it is coated properly, all over.

Then, drop it into the Nestum oats and coat it all over.

Repeat the steps above with a few more pieces of chicken fillet until you get
one batch of raw coated Nestum chicken to fry.

STEP 3: FRY THEM!

Add a generous amount of oil into the frying pan for deep frying.

Once the oil is hot enough, add in the coated Nestum Chicken.
Ensure there is enough space for each piece to fry evenly.
To prevent the outsides from burning but the insides are not cooked, use low
heat to deep fry the chicken fillet. While the first batch of chicken is frying in the
pan, carry on to coat the remaining chicken fillet in flour, egg and Nestum.

Fry until the outer coat looks golden brown and make sure the insides are cooked.

Place the fried chicken on to a sieve (which is placed on a bowl) to drain away
the excess oil. Just like that, the yummy Nestum chicken is ready! ♥

Hope you guys like this recipe! I certainly did as it is really crunchy and yummy! Smells super awesome. I wonder when will be the next time he cooks this for me again? ☺♥ Hehehe.

Happy cookin' ☺
