Curry Mee with Fish Fillet and Pork Ribs

So, yesterday I woke up damn early just to try this legendary Curry Mee in Sungai  Petani. We went there around 8AM in the morning but it is not ready for sale yet. The uncle told us to come back around 9 something in which we did! The line was already very long by the time we reached there and we had to queue for about 30 minutes or so.

Anyway, you can choose to have Fish Fillet only, or Pork Ribs only, or both in your bowl of noodle. Mine is a mixture of Bihun (Rice Vermicilli) and Mee, with a combo of Fish Fillet and Pork Ribs! The average bowl of noodle will cost you RM5, but my bowl of noodle cost RM6 because I took the combo of fish and pork.
YUMMYLICIOUS!!!
PS: The pork ribs will usually sell out by lunch time and the fish fillet will follow by soon!

The location of the curry noodle stall:

EUPE Foodcourt 優賓飲食廣場
Jalan Kuda Kepang, Taman Ria Jaya
08000 Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Opening hours: 9AM till whenever the noodle is sold out (usually by 1-2PM)

It is not often that we see such special combinations in a bowl of curry mee, even in Malaysia!
Definitely worth a try! :)

Happy eatin' ☺

Nasi Lemak Ong 「椰浆饭」 and Herbal Pork Ribs Misua 「排骨面线」

Yesterday, I travelled to Alor Setar mainly in search of the public library because the whole of my campus was cut off from electricity supply for almost the whole day due to maintainence purposes. Without doubt, food was the other main priority on the list!

We arrived around 9.20am at Alor Setar and he drove me to a local kopitiam selling Misua in Herbal soup 药材汤. You can choose whether you want the meat in it to be duck meat, chicken meat or pork ribs! I chose the pork ribs while he had the chicken one.

If you could smell through the picture, guess you would've started to want some too because it is super delicious. Price for my bowl of noodle was RM 4.50 even though the portion is really smaller than usual for me. If you are really if craving for some, below is the location of the shop!

Robert's Stall - Great 'dua ban', Chinese porridge and Yee Mee

'Dua ban' (a hokkien word) is actually what we call 滑蛋河 in Cantonese (or at least what we call it in KL). After coming to Semeling, only did I have the chance to venture into this small Kampung Semeling where everybody knows everybody. Students from my university frequent these local stores for lunch and dinner because they are cheap and big in portions. They are really tasty too, alright!

A plate of dua ban like above will cost about RM 4.50 to RM 5.50, depending on whether you want or don't want the fish meat. Just look at the size of the prawn and you will know how worthy it is!
