We arrived around 9.20am at Alor Setar and he drove me to a local kopitiam selling Misua in Herbal soup 药材汤. You can choose whether you want the meat in it to be duck meat, chicken meat or pork ribs! I chose the pork ribs while he had the chicken one.
If you could smell through the picture, guess you would've started to want some too because it is super delicious. Price for my bowl of noodle was RM 4.50 even though the portion is really smaller than usual for me. If you are really if craving for some, below is the location of the shop!
Kedai Kopi Lor San (卢山茶室)
Pekan Melayu, Alor Setar, Kedah.
Their noodles are so yummy that by 9.30AM, it was all sold out and we were the last few lucky ones to get them! Oh by the way, they sell yummy Yong Tao Foo in the afternoon too!
Next, I would be introducing our lunch which is the Nasi Lemak Ong. It is a real piece of banana leaf haven.
In case it cannot be differentiated, I ordered some Kari sotong, a piece of fried fish, fried salted fish, one fried egg some cucumber slices and loads of curry splashed on top! Mind you, this pile of food cost me RM10.50. Not something I can afford on a daily basis!
This shop recently shifted into a nice shady cafe with coconut trees and huts around so apparently, it is more comfortable.
Just line up under the coconut trees (yes, the line is that long) for about 20 minutes if you're lucky and when you reach Uncle Ong, just tell him what you want in Mandarin or Hokkien or Malay.
Nasi Lemak Ong
Opening hours: 10.30AM - 3.30PM (Closed on every Wednesday)
Happy eatin' ☺
